FERRYHILL AND DISTRICT ANGLING CLUB
Newsletter 2025
Hello all and welcome to the new FDAC season.
Firstly, from April 2025 the club will not have the PO-Box, the new address to send all renewals and correspondence Is 98 Silverdale Place Newton Aycliffe DL5 7EA.

There is a new rule: No floating baits of any type is to loose feed ie, dog and cat biscuits bread pellets etc.
But any floating bait can be used as hook bait only. This is to protect the water quality. Also, if floating hook baits are used, please be mindful of the the wildlife to protect them as well.

There has been CCTV cameras installed around Mainsforth pond to try and help with anti-social behaviour and poaching and we now have a new lease where Mainsforth pond is now open for fishing 12 months of the year.

Over the winter the tilery pond has been roped to hopefully prevent the predatory birds.
We apologise for any inconvenience. At the moment they seem to be working so every winter it will be roped. I understand this can be a pain but it is for the greater good with the big increase in cormorants and goosanders. We have done our best to rope it so that most pegs are fishable. and they will be removed around early March.

We would like to remind everyone that ALL LITTER is to be taking home from all our waters.

Lastly, we hope everyone has a safe and fish filled season
